My Favorite Kind Of Decorations

In our house, we LOVE decorating for the holidays.  It doesn't matter which holiday.  We just love to have a little something (or a lot in some cases) in the house to celebrate the occasion.

We have lots of decorations to choose from but my all-time-without-a-doubt favorite decorations??

These...

I absolutely LOVE and ADORE the boys hand made decorations that they make at school.  The house is full of them.

These hearts just went up today to prepare for Valentines Day.  I have kept every single decoration they have made throughout the years.  I can't wait to see if they bring home more this year to add to our collection!

My house may not have a "theme" or a "feel" to each room.  It may not have fancy decor perfectly placed to accent the room...blah blah blah.  But you can't say my house isn't decorated.

It IS....with my children's artwork and I wouldn't have it any other way!!

Take THAT Martha Stewart!!

I love hearts! In fact, I collect hearts and crosses ... and even the atheist has bought me a few ;)
Love your hearts, beats Martha's concoctions hands down!

My children are just now getting to the "make decoration and have it recognizable" phase. I really enjoyed some of the Christmas ones this year. The current "issue" is, I often don't get the decorations until after the holiday, so I have to hang onto them for another year in a house where space continues to dwindle.

I'll have to make an effort to keep the really good things to decorate for next year.

I love those hearts!

I am such a hoarder when it comes to art that my son makes. But it makes me smile and very proud so kudos to you for keeping them and displaying them with pride!

We used to tape the kids' artwork all over our walls in the family room and hall on the way to the bathroom.

I loved it.

The kids started protest though.

It's not as cute when you're in middle school.

Apparently.
