This makes me want to go swimming.

Funny, my boy fights for the pink towel :)

I love the colors! Hey...I am a NW blogger too! I am down in Olympia. Sounds like you might be farther north from me. I just read your Ready. Set. CRAM...it is the truth!! I am a native also but lived on the coast growing up, it is so much worse down there with the fog and cloud banks. We are definitely seeing fantastic weather right now! Woohoo! :)

This is so creative! I love that you have a pink towel!

Let's hope that you can use that stack a little bit more.

PS. Yours should be on top. ;)

I agree with blueviolet - get yours on top, girl! You're staying afloat in a sea of testosterone!

GREAT pic - very much captures your life!

Alison said...

Hah!! Love it!

Bridget said...

One of my boys would want the pink towel too. Mostly just to start a fight!

Brenda H said...

Your towel is the easy one to find :) I miss the warmer summer days where we could grab a towel and head to the pool.

I'd take the pink one! Pic reminds me that the final days of summer are upon us.....better enjoy while you can.

Jessica,

It was taken right before we went boating this last weekend. It's been beautiful lately!

Hopes@Staying Afloat! said...

Poppy,

Oh, my boys are ALL about the blue!

Hopes@Staying Afloat! said...

Tammy,

HI! Welcome, and thanks for visiting my little space in the blogosphere.

Yes I am north of Seattle. The weather has been crazy hasn't it. It's like summer hit right as the kids were going back to school.

Hope you come and visit again soon!

Hopes@Staying Afloat! said...

Kim,

Yep, was packing them up to get ready for our day of boating! It was a beautiful day to be out o the water!

indonesiatooverseas,

Thanks so much for visiting. The colors really are pretty aren't they?

Hopes@Staying Afloat! said...

JDaniel4's Mom,

Coming from you my dear that is a HUGE complement. Thank you so much!

I've got to fit my pink in somewhere!!

Hopes@Staying Afloat! said...

blueviolet,

It looks like we might be able to! We've got good weather for the rest of the week and into the weekend!

HA! I didn't even think about the towel order. I was just folding them to get ready to go out on the boat last weekend, this was taken right before we loaded up.

But next time, you can bet my towel will be up on top!

Hopes@Staying Afloat! said...

Missy,

I will do better next time, promise! I took this picture without even thinking I would post it. I just sent to to my mom so she could get a good laugh.

It really does capture my life. Lots of boys, but lots of fun as well!

Hopes@Staying Afloat! said...

Alison,

Thank you so much!

Hopes@Staying Afloat! said...

Bridget,

It's amazing what boys can fight over isn't it??

Hopes@Staying Afloat! said...

Brenda,

Thank you so much for visiting and commenting. It truly means a lot to me.

Yeah, my towel sort of stands out like a sore thumb doesn't it? We are still getting summer like weather so we haven't said goodbye to summer just yet. I'm hanging on with everything I have!

Hopes@Staying Afloat! said...

Optimistic Mom,

You'd have to fight me for it! :)

We are soaking up as much as we can...trust me. The sad part is that the boys went back to school today so it puts a bit of a damper on the activites.

Stasha said...

Being outnumbered at the beach is a bit overwhelming with reponsibility, but doing the laundry you can never be outnumbered!

Anonymous said...

That's a neat contrast! We always fight over the biggest towel, the one that wraps our big butts the best. ;)

Grumpy Grateful Mom said...

Cute! My 3-year-old told me his favorite color was pink this morning. I'm guessing that will change in the next few years, but maybe not. He'll just need to have a lot of confidence. :)

Hopes@Staying Afloat! said...

Stasha,

Very very true!! :o)

Hopes@Staying Afloat! said...

MamaMash,

Thanks! It was completely unplanned! I was just packing up for the boat.

Big towels rock!

Hopes@Staying Afloat! said...

Grumpy Grateful Mom,

Sweet Pea used to LOVE pink until he turned about 4 (I believe that was the age he saw the movie Cars) and then it turned to red.

Kate F. (@katefineske) said...

Yep... the PERFECT title to your wordless Wednesday post :)

Rach (DonutsMama) said...

That's funny! I totally want to go to the beach now.

Hopes@Staying Afloat! said...

Kate,

I thought so too! I'm glad you liked it! :)

Hopes@Staying Afloat! said...

Rach!

It wasn't even planned. Which is why I think I like it so much. I want go somewhere tropical to swim. *dreaming*

Liz said...

Before too long, the beach towels will be packed away for another year! :)

Hopes@Staying Afloat! said...

Liz,

That they will. But we've been having unusually higher temps than normal so we might get to squeeze more use out of them.

I love this! Such a creative way to portray being outnumbered!

Hmm looks like there are more guys. That's like my my kids three boys and a girl. Now my grandchildren are running neck and neck at 2 to 2.

Love it. That's what it looks like when I go to the beach with my huz & boys. Usually they want nothing to do with my pink towel and it stays clean and dry :)

Christine Siracusa said...

Classic!!

Unknown said...

Oh yeah, you are! HA! I like the fourth one though, that's kinda "pretty" too... ;)

Amanda said...

Well, there will never be any confusion as to which towel is yours! ;)

Theresa said...

Shit, you are outnumbered! I like your towel ;c)

Hopes@Staying Afloat! said...

Eat. Live. Laugh,

Thank you so much for visiting and commenting! I truely appreciate it.

I'm definitely outnumbered. It feels like the testosterone oozes through my walls at home! HA!

Hope you visit again soon!

Hopes@Staying Afloat! said...

Grandma Bonnie,

Welcome! And thanks for stopping by! Definitely more guys in my house than girls. There is just me, and my dog! Completely outnumbered!

How fun that you have both grandsons and granddaughters!!

Hopes@Staying Afloat! said...

I'm Jennifer,

Thanks so much! There is a huge advantage to taking a towel that the boys have no interest in. HA!

Hopes@Staying Afloat! said...

Christine!

Thanks so much! :o)

Hopes@Staying Afloat! said...

Elaine,

TOTALLY!! The fourth one is really really pretty. But I have to stay with my pink. Got to get my girly on somehow! :)

Hopes@Staying Afloat! said...

Amanda,

That's for sure! :)

Hopes@Staying Afloat! said...

Theresa,

Thank you so much for stopping by and commenting!! It means a lot to me!

Yep, totally and completely outnumbered!! But we still having a ton of fun!
